Fellow Pack 184 Parents,
I want to share with you an opportunity for you and/or your employer to get involved in an upcoming event that directly benefits our local Scouting Council.
On Friday, June 7, 2013, the Pennsylvania Dutch Council, will host its 11th Annual Boy Scout Golf Classic at Conestoga Country Club. The Golf Classic is a scramble-style tournament, which is open to and enjoyed by golfers of all skill levels. The purpose of the event is to fund the Council’s summer “Campership” program, which assists families in need of financial assistance attend summer camp – including our favorite camp, Camp Mack! In case you were not aware, the Pennsylvania Dutch Council is providing programs to over 5,500 families through 217 Scouting units (including our own Pack 184) and 140 community partnerships throughout Lancaster and Lebanon counties. Pack 184 is fortunate to be affiliated with such an engaged and well-organized Council. The Golf Classic is a great way to get your employer or business to support a program that is not only important to your family, but also important to our community.
The attached flier provides an overview of this year’s Golf Classic and details the various sponsorship opportunities. It also provides registration instructions if you are interested in playing. Various levels of sponsorship opportunities exist – with opportunities as low as $150. Most of the sponsorship levels include a really nice, embroidered golf flag for you or your employer to proudly display at home or in the workplace. The event is a first class event and “sold out” last year, with over 120 golfers participating – making it a great marketing/advertising opportunity for your employer or business.
